Refrigerator Cucumbers


6 cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced
1 thinly sliced onion
2 cups of sugar
1 cup of apple cider vinegar
2 cups of water
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of celery seed

Place the sliced cucumber and onion in a large bowl.

Combine the sugar, the vinegar, the water, and the salt. Bring to the boil. Boil for 1 minute.

Pour the hot liquid over the cucumber-onion mixture.

Stir the celery seed into the mixture.

Ladle the mixture into glass jars.

Cool the jars and refrigerate for three days before eating.

Keep refrigerated.
