The Act of Killing


According to the Teachings of the Buddha, five conditions must be present to constitute the immoral act of killing.

These five conditions are:

1 . . . A Living Being.

2 . . . The knowledge or awareness that it is a Living Being.

3 . . . The intention of killing.

4 . . . The effort to kill.

5 . . . The consequent death.
