Steve's Simple Cabbage and Noodle Soup

Butter (or oil)
Chopped onion
Water
Chopped cabbage
Vegetable bouillon
Egg noodles
Celery seed
Freshly ground black pepper
Salt
Butter (optional)

I use no measurements when I make this soup. I simply soften the onion in the butter, add the cabbage and cook until it's tender.

I then add the noodles and when they're finished I season with the celery seed, the pepper, the salt, and the butter.

Maybe not the healthiest, because of the butter, but very tasty on a cold winter afternoon or evening.

Make sure the broth is the best you can make or buy; it is the foundation of the soup.
