3 ripe tomatoes
Flour
4 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
2 1/2 cups of milk
Slice the tomatoes and dredge them in the flour.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-heat. Saute the floured tomato slices in the butter.
When thickened, stir in the brown sugar and gradually add the milk.
Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
Serve with mashed or fried potatoes, over toasts, or rice.
