Meditation is a gentle process of slowing down, allowing thoughts to come and go without attempting to join them or run from them, and permitting oneself a growing place of respite between thoughts that so easily lead to illusory notions of self and others. In such a process there is an increased sense of expansiveness that is not ours alone, but a true web of interbeing.
It is a gentle, inward-looking but outwardly attuned process that is more a restoration than a miraculous achievement of something altogether new. It is a kind of homecoming to the good and pure mind of clear seeing.
