The beauty of the rose depends on many things. Many of these things are unseen. There is the stem, the leaves, the thorns, the stalk, the roots, the minerals that feed the plant, the sun, the rain, and the efforts of the gardener.
When we look at the beauty of the flower we seldom consider all that went to making it beautiful.
