Right Understanding

Right Understanding is the very first point of the Buddha's Eightfold Path, because as long as we do not understand life as it really is, we will make demands which life cannot fulfill. Then we become unhappy, frustrated, and bitter, and go about nursing grievances against others. It is because we do not know anything about the nature of life that we make foolish, selfish demands.
