Onion Custard


The artwork is Onion Fairy by Orandaberries

4 to  medium mild onions, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
1 cup of whole milk
3 eggs

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

Saute the onions in the butter in a covered skillet for 30 minutes. Cool.

In a bowl beat together the milk and eggs.

Stir in the onions and transfer to a greased baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven 40 to 0 minutes, until light golden.

This will make perhaps 6 servings.
