Lofty Actions and Quick Emotions

On high mountain peaks, there are no trees,
        but in river valleys and meandering places
    Grasses and trees grow dense.
Where water swirls or moves rapidly, there are no fish,
        but in deep pools and quiet places
    Fishes and turtles congregate.
Thus is the gentleman extremely cautious
    Of lofty actions
    Or quick emotions.
