Brutality in the Extreme

Receiving a favor, and though it is considerable,
    Not repaying it;
Drawing enmity, and though it is light,
    Returning it in style;
Hearing of ill deeds, and though they are unclear,
    Having no doubt about them;
Then, when good is apparent, doubting it altogether—
    Such ways are the far end of cruelty;
    This is brutality in the extreme.
You should be careful about this.
