2 cups of tomato juice
2 large tomatoes, diced (save their juices)
Sugar to taste
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Butter
Toast
Put the tomato juice and the diced tomatoes (and their juice) into a sauce pan and heat to almost the boil.
Season to taste with the sugar and the salt and pepper.
Add butter according to taste.
Pour the hot juice over the toast.
Serve.
