Broiled Portabella Mushrooms
2 tablespoons of dry white wine
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
A pinch of salt
4 large portabella caps
Minced oregano
Preheat the broiler.
Combine the wine, the oil, the vinegar, and the salt in a small mixing bowl. Stir well to combine.
Wipe the mushrooms clean and arrange, smooth side up, on a foil-lined baking sheet. Brush the marinade over the mushrooms.
Broil the mushrooms for 4 to 5 minutes, then turn and broil and 4 to 5 minutes, until they are touched with charred spots.
Remove the mushrooms from the broiler, sprinkle with the oregano, and serve.
Great on a bun with tomato, lettuce, and burger condiments.
