Sweet Potato and Apple Casserole
6 large sweet potatoes, peeled, sliced, and boiled until just tender
6 tart apples, peeled and sliced
8 tablespoons of butter, cubed
1/2 cup of brown sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a casserole with butter.
Layer half of the potatoes into the dish and dot with a third of the butter and sprinkle with a third of the brown sugar.
Layer in all of apples and dot with a third of the butter and sprinkle with a third of the brown sugar.
Layer with the remaining potatoes and dot with the remaining butter and sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 to 45 minutes, until the potatoes are browned and tender.
