We Are Poor

We are poor. We are poor, not because we don't have money. We have money. We are poor because we have no time. We have no time to drink a cup of tea—and do nothing else.

We have no time to watch a cloud or a bird or a leaf floating of a slow river.

We have no time to walk with a child or relax in the shade of a tree with a lover.

We do everything all at once.
