Starving-Student Beet and Onion Salad

1/4 cup of wine vinegar
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 (16-ounce) can of sliced beets, undrained
1/2 of an onion, sliced in rings

Combine all the ingredients and marinate at room temperature for 40 minutes.

Stir every 10 minutes.

Serve .
