Buddhism Is Not A Set Of Limits

Buddhism is not a set of limits. It's not a list of things not to do. It’s guidance for things to do.

An example might be the practice of vegetarianism.

The practice of vegetarianism is not a prohibition against eating the flesh of another being, it’s a guideline saying ‘I will do what I am able to do in order to reduce as much as possible the discomfort and suffering of other life forms’.
