Buddhism teaches there is no ground to say one has the right to take the life of another Living Being.
The Teachings of the Buddha inform us, five conditions must be present to constitute the unwholesome act of killing. These five conditions are:
1 . . . A living Being
2 . . . The knowledge or awareness that it is a Living Being
3 . . . The intention to kill
4 . . . The effort to kill
5 . . . The consequent death of the Living Being
