A Poem by Ryokan
Even if you consume as many books
As sands of the Ganges
It is not as good as really catching
One verse of Zen.
If you want the secret of Buddhism,
Here it is: Everything is in the Heart!

A Poem by Ryokan
Like a drifting cloud,
Bound by nothing:
I just let go
Giving myself up
To the whim of the wind.

Gandhi
Gandhi was inevitable. If humanity is to progress, Gandhi is inescapable. He lived, thought and acted, inspired by the vision of humanity evolving toward a world of peace and harmony. We may ignore Gandhi at our own risk.

Equality
Ari-Pekka Liukkonen, Finnish Olympic Swimmer, said that being gay is “the same kind of characteristic as whether a person has blue or brown eyes, or whether they are left- or right-handed.”

Dear Mark
Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on, or by imbeciles who really mean it.
