In the life of the Buddha we do not see the drowning of pigs by handing them over to demons, or the cursing of a fig tree for not bearing fruit out of season, nor the whipping of innocent money lenders.
We do find a mass murderer being converted to gentleness by goodness and understanding. We discover a raging elephant calmed by love. We find a innocent swan heal by deep empathy.
