Starving-Student Baked Garbanzos (to serve over rice or noodles)


2 (16 ounce) cans of garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained and rinsed
2 cups of your favorite spaghetti sauce
1/3 cup of dark molasses
1/4 cup of finely chopped onion
A pinch (or more) of cayenne powder

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well.

Pour the mixture in to an appropriate casserole, cover and bake for about 1 hour, or until the sauce is dark and thickened.

Serve over noodles or rice.
