Don't get lost or hung up in incense and candles, bells or lineages.
Don't worry about the proper way to fold a cloth or hold a tea cup.
These things are not what the Buddha taught.
Don't worry about which language you use to chant some ancient verse.
Don't rush out to buy beads or statues or wall hangings.
These things are not what the Buddha taught.
What you think has consequences.
What you say has consequences.
What you do has consequences.
This is what the Buddha taught.
Care for those weaker than you.
Rejoice in the good fortune of others.
This is what the Buddha taught.
