Awareness and Practice

As Practitioners we're advised to examine ourselves. But, and my own experience teaches me, we often simply follow our desires, caught in an endless round of grabbing and pushing away, wanting and avoiding.

So often we want to do only what we find pleasing. So often we want the easy and comfortable. When ease and comfort are not at hand we're unhappy. We're trapped by passing emotions and desires, fears and dislikes.

The Practice asks us to grow up and see reality. Do what can be, and should be, done. Heal where we can heal. Advise where we can advise, Love, always love. But never hide from what needs our attention no matter how dark or cold.
